Flower Power and Ikebana Paintings (Art Center Morro Bay)
Cruise up to Morro Bay to check out this free art gallery that is open Thursdays through Mondays from 12PM – 4PM until April 5. The exhibition embraces the diversity of florals through two dimensional interpretations – from scientific illustration, abstract, photorealism to large free style creations in oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, photography, digital media, and mixed media. The work of botanical artists, green professionals, flower growers, and floral designers will be featured as well.
Fri. Feb 26
San Luis Obispo’s Fremont Theater is hosting this liverstream – Jess Cornelius “Distance” from the Yellow House – as Cornelius performs her album that describes the distance she feels between her dreams and society’s expectations for her. An archived version of the stream will be available until March 12.
Sat. Feb 27
Tyler Hilton, or Chris Keller from “One Tree Hill,” is hosting a “virtual hangout” through BandsinTown Plus to talk about his musical journey, inspiration and how he got his big break as a cast member of the CW’s “One Tree Hill.” The event is free through BandsinTown Plus and begins at 2 AM PST.
Morro Bay Main Street Market
This market reoccurs weekly every Saturday on Main and Harbor Street in downtown Morro Bay. Goods can be bought directly from farmers, food makers, craftspersons, and artisans. Their winter hours are from 2:30 – 5pm.
Sun. Feb 28
The Super Sunday Swap Meet is a weekly event hosted at the Sunset Drive-In in San Luis Obispo. Buyers and sellers are welcome, masks are required and food vendors are open on site.
Mon. Mar 1
Los Osos and Baywood Park Farmers Market
This is a reoccurring farmers market every Monday from 2 – 6pm at Los Osos/Baywood Park Chamber of Commerce.
Wed. Mar 3
Every Wednesday Tom Higgenson from the Plain White T’s performs a fan curated set list on Facebook Live. The livestream starts at 5 p.m.
