Shabang releases dates for 2023 festival, early registration begins

The Shabang Live Music & Arts Festival will return to Laguna Lake Park in San Luis Obispo on May 5 and 6, 2023, according to a recent announcement.

Pre-registration for tickets is now available, providing access to 500 tickets at their lowest cost and entry into a raffle for a Lifetime Pass, two All-Access passes, two VIP passes and a $100 merchandise voucher.

What began as a small friend group gathering in 2014, Shabang has grown into a weekend-long celebration of music, art and culture on the Central Coast. Shabang 2023 will be the festival’s 14th appearance in San Luis Obispo since its conception. 

Last spring, the festival attracted over 15,000 guests and 40-plus artists over the weekend. 2022 headliners included TV Girl, The Knocks, Walker and Royce and STRFKR, along with local bands Honeyboys, Couch Dog and Swede and Skogen.

Local vendors and various art installations were also stationed on the festival grounds. A section called “Shabang University” hosted classes and workshops involving yoga, dance, health and more.
