“A Different Compilation” – Buzzcocks

This compilation, released in 2011, features the most influential pieces released during 1977-1981 from the Manchester punk band. It will be released on vinyl for the first time this year. 

“If Music Could Talk” – The Clash

Named after their hit 1980, this release is an interview album between the Clash and their manager Kosmo Vinyl. It is an homage to Nicaraguan rebel leader Augusto César Sandino. 

“Gasoline” – HAIM (ft. Taylor Swift)

This single with Taylor Swift is the trio’s second collaboration with the singer, following  “no body no crime” which Swift released. It’s an earworm that demonstrates the strength of their collaborations. 

“Songs From Harold and Maude” – Cat Stevens

This rerelease has the remastered versions of Cat Stevens’ songs for the 1971 film “Harold and Maude.” While this soundtrack fits the film, it is also a great album by itself. 

“Junco Pardner” – Joe Strummer

This release features both a live and acoustic version of The Clash’s “Junco Pardner,” which was performed by the late Joe Strummer. The acoustic is an interesting and folky rendition of the reggae cover The Clash had on 1980’s “Sandinista,” originally performed and recorded by James Wayne in 1951.
