Winter in San Luis Obispo often brings a lull to the lively college town. The days end earlier, coursework piles up and the nights lose their welcoming warmth that allowed for gatherings, parties and live music in previous weeks. Luckily, venues around town kept the music alive with a stacked calendar of notable touring acts this winter quarter. Packed into the local venues, concert-goers escaped the cold winter nights and caught performances from a variety of talented artists such as The Altons, DIIV, The Garden, Iron and Wine and Haley Heynderickx. Cameras in hand, our photographers at KCPR were there to document the music.
