Body and Mind – GIRL IN RED

If you are looking for a little piece of confidence, Girl in Red provides that with “Body and Mind.” It doesn’t come in the stereotypical “girl bossy” package that empowering songs typically encompass, however. This song is uplifting in a way that it is able to portray how anger and pain strengthen the soul and mind.
Impression – Sugar Candy Mountain

Sugar Candy Mountain’s latest fusion of West Coast psych-pop and tropicalia, “Impression,” is a wondrous tease of their upcoming album. The song opens with pulsating vocals that sail into a trance-inducing guitar and keys section that’ll transport the listener to a tropical seaside trip. Be on the lookout for the entire album of the same name to drop on May 28.
We Are Between – Modest Mouse

“We Are Between” is Modest Mouse’s first release off of their next album “The Golden Casket,” and the band’s first release since 2015. It is less experimental than the band is known for, but is still catchy and will leave audiences excited for the full album.
Astronomy – Conan Gray

This song is very smooth and chill to vibe to when you’re looking for calm. Of course, like most of Gray’s music, it is pretty sad, since it is about two people who are two worlds apart. So, if you want something to cry to, this would be a great choice.
I Think I’m In Love – CAV feat. D Banks

“I Think I’m In Love” is the debut release by a mainstay in the central coast DJ scene, CAV. Presented by Connect the Coast, and with a complimentary verse from D Banks, the track nails the throwback funk mood it aspires to, and is demanding to be played loud at your next disco function!
Shelter Song – Iceage

This Danish punk band is back with their fifth studio album, “Seek Shelter.” The intro track, “Shelter Song,” starts out with layered guitar riffs with melancholy bass tones. The chorus veers in a “The White Stripes”-ish direction, with distorted guitar riffs and great use of bass drum. By mid-song, the lazy, almost shoe gaze-esque, use of guitar ties the track together on a diverse, whimsical musical journey.
From The back of a Cab – Rostam

Rostam has released his fifth single from his upcoming record, “Changephobia.” The Vampire Weekend alum, turned super-producer for artists like HAIM, Clairo and Solange, Rostam has used this album to display what makes him a valuable fixture in music. This latest single, “From The Back of a Cab,” displays Rostam leaning into his signature paired-down vocals and elaborate production.
Interlude – J. Cole

J.Cole does not disappoint with his latest release, which comes two years after his last album. He teases his new album “The Off-Season” with “Interlude.” The new release continues his trend of incorporating sick instrumentals and meaningful lyrics.
Monday’s Fácil – Summer Salt

This is the first single from the bands upcoming EP “Sequoia Moon,” set to be released late June. This is a great song for the summer as it keeps things upbeat and chill!
