You All Over Me (feat. Karen Morris) (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault) – Taylor Swift
Recommended by: Jenna McCarthy
This is one of the songs Swift wrote in her “Fearless” era that didn’t make the cut onto the album and she is now releasing it with her re-recordings of her earlier songs. The song has “Fearless” era vibes, with her current vocal and production talents. It’s pretty amazing to listen to.
Half a Human – Real Estate
Recommended by: Evan Gattuso
Real Estate’s latest EP, “Half a Human,” renews the group’s carefree and blissful sound that heats chilly hearts. The title track is a defining example of the New Jersey band’s jaunty vibe. Cheery guitars and tender keys synthesize into a sonic sunset that will sail you into your next daydream.
Shelter Song – Iceage
Recommended by: Moises De La Cruz
“Shelter Song” easily qualifies as the most beautiful track the Danish, art punks Iceage have released thus far. Driven by guitar melodies and earnest lyrics about perseverance, the song explodes into an epic chorus that glows with best qualities of the Rolling Stones’ bluesy flair and Spiritualized’s soul-tinged harmonies rolled into one.
Your Imagination – Babe Rainbow, Jaden
Recommended by: Jennifer Newton
Babe Rainbow can take you back in time with its soulful guitar riffs and dreamy vocals. Their vocals compliment Jaden Smith’s spoken word in the song. I can see this song being featured at the end of an A24 movie, with the main character driving a car with the top down filled with pure content.
Peaches – Justin Bieber
Recommended by: Sophia Pattison
Daniel Caesar and GIVĒON are featured on this new single from the massive popstar. This is very different from Bieber’s past songs that are incredibly poppy like “Yummy.” Although it is still a pop song, it has more complexity to it that makes it really nice to listen to.
Heartless – Live from LA – Roddy Ricch
Recommended by: Alina Jafri
The hook of the song immediately reels you in. The instrumentals are my favorite part of the track and they really make it stand out compared to his other works.
Feeling So Down – Flora Cash
Recommended by: Tessa Hughes
Flora Cash is back at it with their latest two singles “Feeling So Down” and “The The Bright Lights.” They both tap into the bands’ typical somber, melancholy tone, but “Feeling So Down” stands out because it has a more psychedelic feel to it then their past work.
