Funkadelic band Orgōne brings a soulful performance to SLO Brew Live with support from Dante Elephante

Soulful vocals and funk-rock music filled the room as the Los Angeles-based band Orgōne took the stage at SLO Brew Rock on Saturday with opener Dante Elephante.

Dante Elephante’s hour-long set featured multiple songs off his 2021 album “Mid-Century Modern Romance,” including “Santa Barbara” and “Jeni.” In between songs, the crowd continuously requested “Call Me on the Phone,” which he eventually walked into the crowd and sang to conclude his set.

A range of instruments was brought on stage when Orgōne began their set. These instruments, including trumpets, conga drums, keys and even a cowbell, contributed to their unique sound. The upbeat rhythms of the first few instrumental songs had the crowd dancing along. Later, one of the lead vocalists, Terin Ector, sang “Working For Love,” a song from their 2022 album “Lost Knights.” Ector encouraged the crowd to sing along as they performed songs spanning their discography. The funk-inspired sound had the crowd enthused throughout the night.
