Defining Ska with La Noche Oskura

Ska: Mixing Reggae, Rock and Jazz into one monumental commotion.
Sacramento based band La Noche Oskura encapsulates the nature of fourth-wave ska, the most recent direction the genre has stepped in. Drummer Christian Kelleher took the time to answer a few questions in regards to the their unique sound and place within a unique genre. We discussed influences that come from areas like Jamaica, Europe, and ultimately, the good golden state of California.
Kelleher is also a Cal Poly student and spoke upon his first impression and experience with the music scene in San Luis Obispo.
