We Crammed HUNNY on a Couch and Made Them Answer Questions
So-Cal indie heartthrobs HUNNY have definitely made a hefty footprint on the alternative music scene in the past year. The six-piece group of friends traveled the states bringing their unique sound, reminiscent of The Cure, to sold out audiences while opening up for The Neighborhood. Off their debut EP Pain/Ache/Loving, the hit single “Cry For Me” hit over 10,000 plays on the first night is was published. That grew to over 30,000 plays by the end of the week.
HUNNY is currently pulling all-nighters in Texas as they play 4 showcases at this year’s SXSW and without missing a beat, the boys will embark on a headlining west-coast tour starting Friday in San Diego at The Hideout.
With the promise of pizza as bate; I was lucky enough to catch an interview with this well dressed group of guys during a pit stop on their recent tour. We talk about the band’s image and pre-show rituals and discuss pressing topics (water parks to vape tricks).
Hunny is cooking up more music to be released this year and hopes for a future project with Counting Crows. Check out the interview to find out more.
