The reports began around 7:45 p.m. at O’Neill Green with calls for medical aid tied to alcohol and drug use. At 9:02 p.m. and 9:04 p.m., officers responded to possession of narcotics, controlled substances, and public intoxication, with one case closed by arrest for possession of narcotic controlled substance/public intoxication. Medical aid calls were also reported.
At Spanos Stadium, reports between 8:54 p.m. and 9:44 p.m. included alcohol violations, public nuisance reports, and one case where an individual was ordered to leave campus.
In total, four cases remain without disposition, four are still under review, and three have been closed.
San Luis Obispo Police Lieutenant Bryan Treanor said the Cal Poly Partners Cloonee concert weekend was “full deployment, all hands on deck as far as officers working in all different capacities, allocated to a specific area not only for the concert but for the start of school.”
“We come up with a game-plan for these events to have private security,” Treanor said. “It starts with meetings and briefings on what to look for in order to keep the event safe and secure.”
For larger-scale events, SLO PD and Cal Poly PD plan for up to six months in advance to ensure quality and control. Treanor added that incidents are common at party events like this one.
“When there is alcohol involved we enforce a zero tolerance for open containers and underage alcohol consumption,” Treanor said.

Several reports remain under review, and police agencies say preparation for future events will continue with the same emphasis on safety and enforcement.
In addition to Cal Poly Partners Cloonee concert-related cases, police logs show several other reports were made on campus and nearby locations including fire and elevator alarms, a noise complaint and routine patrol checks. It is not confirmed whether these reports were related to the event.
