Favorite part about working for KCPR:

[I] loved [when] we brought back newscasts in AM and PM drive for the first time in years. We worked on [a] deadline, had reports from the field and aired reporter packages. It was a great hands-on, learn-by-doing experience.

Where do you currently work and what do you do? I host my own news/talk show in Denver, “The Steffan Tubbs Show” M[onday through] F[riday] 3-7 PMT on 710 KNUS in Denver.

How did, if at all, KCPR help or prepare you for your career trajectory?

KCPR set the tone for my career. Being able to work in a real radio station environment was invaluable and I loved it. I’ll always have fond memories of my KCPR shifts and of Cal Poly, SLO!
