Rolling Loud is known to deliver a yearly experience in Los Angeles, highlighting established artists and nurturing the next generation of hip-hop stars. The festival has become a bridge for up-and-coming hip-hop artists, providing a space for underground musicians to become more visible and get a foot closer to headlining status.
The music festival is now roughly two months away, but tension remains as the Palisades wildfires have been deeply affecting the Los Angeles communities.
In response to the wildfires, which have been affecting many residents’ safety and well-being, many organizations have been supporting those directly impacted by the fires in any way possible.
As music can be a refuge, an outlet that people seek out for comfort and safety, artists have been partnering up with organizations to support those who have been impacted. Beyonce, Doja Cat, Maná and many more musicians have been utilizing their platforms and giving back to the L.A. community according to Billboard.
Rolling Loud also gave back as they hosted a California wildfire benefit concert on Jan. 20, with Ski Mask the Slump God, Luh Tyler, Robb Banks, four other artists and additional special guest appearances.
The benefit concert took place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Rolling Loud stated that 100% of ticket sales would go towards the GoFundMe Wildfire Relief Fund 2025, according to an Instagram post.
The long-awaited lineup for Rolling Loud’s 10th anniversary was originally announced on Jan. 7, and is set to take place at the Hollywood Park Grounds from March 15 and 16. The lineup was announced in a post from the Rolling Loud Instagram, which also revealed a new format for this year’s festival.
The hip-hop festival used to be a three-day event and has now transitioned to a condensed two-day experience at an affordable price compared to the handful of festivals that demand a hefty price.
What used to be a $399 Rolling Loud ticket package is now transforming into a $179 2-day festival pass.
As we patiently wait for the annual festival to return, it is known that Rolling Loud will return with familiar faces, including iconic headliners like A$AP Rocky, as well as Playboi Carti, bringing out the vamps as he makes another recurring appearance.
Additionally, for the first time ever, Peso Pluma, the Latin artist who has been marking his name on the Billboard charts, will be joining the Rolling Loud stage. Peso Pluma is set to stand alongside 75 artists that reflect the current sound of hip-hop, bringing his own iconic corridos tumbados to the mix.
L.A. has a large music community, and for those who seek refuge in music, there are various concerts happening across the U.S. to support wildfire relief efforts. With shows in Anaheim, CA, to Brooklyn, New York, various genres and artists have come together to show support.
For more information, Rolling Stone has made a list of the current Los Angeles fire benefit concerts that are taking place in January and the beginning of February.
