Carla Morrison’s healing performance at the PAC
On Friday, Latin Grammy Award-winning artist Carla Morrison took the stage at the San Luis Obispo Performing Arts Center (PAC) for a night full of music, joy and healing.
Fans yelled “Te Amo Carla!” as the stage lights dimmed and she came out from backstage. After opening with “Eres Tú,” a song off her studio debut album “Déjenme Llorar,” she pushed the audience to let their emotions flow, let loose and have fun.
Prior to performing her next song, “Divino,” she elaborated on how music aided her healing process and how in order to let go of negativity, we must confront our negative emotions. Her elaboration on her relationship with music and emotional growth made the concert an intimate and emotional experience. She continued to perform songs from her entire discography, but most were off her newest album “El Renacimiento,” which was released earlier this year.
